When I heard that I Let You Go had been picked for the Loose Women book club on ITV I was over the moon. It’s been lovely to see tweets from people reading along with the book club, and amazing to see photos like this, with the crew of Loose Women reading their copies of I Let You Go.
Today the show aired, and I was far too anxious to watch it live. I peeked at Twitter through my fingers, terrified I’d discover live commentary from a studio audience who all hated my book. In the event, I didn’t have anything to worry about. Today’s panel comprised Andrea McLean, Gloria Hunniford, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore, and their feedback was gloriously, wonderfully positive.
‘Couldn’t put it down.’
‘Should be a film.’
‘Amazing twist.’
We even got to hear from Loose Women book club member Julie, in the studio audience, who couldn’t have plugged my book better if I’d paid her (I didn’t). Thank you, Julie.
